Day 5 - Traveling . . Again

Hi!

So today we didn't do very much but travelling because of my own stupidity. We were suppose to go to Itaewon, a kind of foreigner-district in Seoul; it has the Itaewon mosque, and many other different cultural diversities. Well, before I get to that, Meghan made a nice breakfast for our host this time:

They are actually pretty used to making Western-type breakfast so Meghan had to ask them a lot of questions before finding the exact breakfast for them.

After that, we had to switch around our luggage and just bring carry-ons, since we didn't want to bring our big bags with us to Busan (another popular city) and Jeju Island (popular beach area). We'll evenutally arrive back to Seoul to get the luggage and head off to Japan!

So, with our packed stuff, we headed to the subway and I literally looked like a bag lady with just the stuff I was carrying. We were several stops in to head to Itaewon, when I forgot my passport in my other bag!!

We had to go back and get it, but it meant wasting so much time, and I couldn't go to Itaewon at all. Our last host was nice enough to even come meet me at the station to give it back. She even gave me the korean ice cream:

We just went to Dunkin Donuts and decided to head to our train at Seoul Station to take us to Busan. It was a pretty big place, kind of like Grand Central.

Lotteria is like the fast food place of Korea :

After that, we took the train to Busan! It took two hours and some minutes but we were pretty tired just getting there:

It was so bright out and so many people were around; kind of dirty, but still pretty cool to look at (sorry about the picture, we had to get going, it was 9 by the time we got to our new host):

We were soooo tired, we could hardly carry our carry-ons anymore:

Our new host had a huge family - from grandparents to the host brother and sisters. We had to sleep on the floor with blankets in our own room but that was fine.

Zzzzzzz. .

Sid
